Jorge Vilalta is a co-founder and director of Otro Beta, a grassroots organisation focusing on educating, training and developing youth within Venezuela’s barrios, and co-founder of and writer for the independent media publication Ceiba Periodisimo.

Vilalta is part of Venezuela’s national coordination of ALBA Movimientos, a network of over 300 grassroots organisations across Latin America promoting continental coordination, unity and solidarity.

Carlos Ron is a Venezuelan diplomat who served in the governments of Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro. From 2018 to 2025 he served as Venezuela’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs for North America, where he functioned as the country’s chief negotiator in Washington, engaging in diplomatic efforts amid US sanctions and threats. He is a former President of Venezuela’s Simón Bolívar Institute for Peace and Solidarity Among Peoples.

Ron currently works as co-coordinator of the Nuestra América office at the Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research.
