Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs denies Trump claims of negotiations

We deny what US President Donald Trump said regarding the occurrence of negotiations between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Islamic Republic of Iran adheres to its position rejecting any kind of negotiations before achieving Iran’s goals from the war.

Trump’s words are a retreat from his previous threats, yet the Islamic Republic of Iran remains committed to all its declared positions.

Iran’s position regarding the Strait of Hormuz has not changed, and the strait will remain closed to those who aggress against the Islamic Republic and its people.

Iran rejects US proposal, lays out five conditions for ending imposed war

Iran has responded negatively to an American proposal aimed at ending the ongoing imposed war, insisting that it will only occur on Tehran’s own terms and timeline, a senior political-security official told Press TV on Wednesday.

The official with knowledge of the details of the proposal, speaking exclusively to Press TV, said Iran will not allow US President Donald Trump to dictate the timing of the war’s end.

“Iran will end the war when it decides to do so and when its own conditions are met,” the official said, emphasizing Tehran’s resolve to continue its defense and inflict “heavy blows” on the enemy until its demands are fulfilled. …

… The official outlined five specific conditions under which Iran would agree to end the war. These include:

• A complete halt to “aggression and assassinations” by the enemy.
• The establishment of concrete mechanisms to ensure that the war is not reimposed on the Islamic Republic.
• Guaranteed and clearly defined payment of war damages and reparations.
• The end of the war across all fronts and for all resistance groups involved throughout the region
• Iran’s exercise of sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz is and will remain Iran’s natural and legal right, and it constitutes a guarantee for the implementation of the other party’s commitments, and must be recognized.

The official further noted that these stipulations are in addition to demands previously presented by Tehran during the second round of negotiations in Geneva, which took place just days before the US and Israel carried out a fresh round of aggression on February 28.

Iran officially sends response to US, sets conditions for ending war

￭ Iran’s conditions include:

– Ending enemy aggression and terrorism
– Establishing objective guarantees that war will not be repeated
– Ensuring payment of war damages and compensation
– Ending the war across all fronts and involving all resistance groups

￭ The source stated that Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz is its natural and legal right, separate from demands made during Geneva talks prior to the March US-Israeli attack.

￭ The source also noted that America’s claim about negotiations is a “third deception” project, aimed at buying time for a potential ground incursion in southern Iran, adding: “Since the 12-day war, Iran has complete doubt about America’s willingness to negotiate.”

Iranian leaders respond to rumours of US ground invasion plans

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that Iran’s “enemies are preparing to occupy one of the Iranian islands with the support of one of the countries in the region,” citing intelligence reports in a post on X.

He warned that Iranian forces are monitoring “all enemy movements”, cautioning that “if they take any step, they [Iranian Forces] will target all the vital infrastructure of that regional country with continuous and relentless attacks.”

The warning comes as the US increases its threats around the Kharg Island, with the Pentagon deploying additional troops, including units from the 82nd Airborne Division. 

Earlier on March 25, Admiral Ali Akbar Ahmadian, a representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on Iran’s Defense Council, asserted that Iran has spent decades preparing for the possibility of an American ground invasion.

“For more than two decades, we have been training for the moment the Americans enter,” Ahmadian declared.

Addressing US troops directly, he said, “We have only one message, and that is for you to come closer.” 

He added that Iranian forces have anticipated a US incursion into “designated points”, indicating that potential battle scenarios have already been mapped out in advance.

Iranian military source says UAE may serve as a launch pad for attack on Iranian Islands

An Iranian military source told VPol that Iran suspects that the UAE may serve as a launchpad for an attack on Iranian islands.

￭ Iran, according to the source, reportedly suspects that the UAE has been divulging sensitive information about targets and personnel inside Iran to the US and Israel, deploying advanced AI systems used to analyze data and develop a comprehensive target bank.

￭ Facilities inside the UAE, including air bases and logistical and intelligence infrastructure, have been used to target Iran in recent weeks.

Over one million fighters ready; “America wants to open Strait through suicide, no problem”

Iran ready to capture UAE, Bahrain coastlines if US makes mistake: analyst

The lying, terrorist and child-killing president of the United States has claimed that the IRGC is planning to destroy the water softeners in the region and make the people of the countries in the region suffer.

First of all, it is the aggressive and anti-people army of the United States that started the war by killing children and sacrificing 180 primary school children, and so far it has targeted five water supply infrastructures, including the desalination plant of Qeshm Island, and the IRGC has not done such a thing.

The situation in the Strait of Hormuz will not return to what it was. Even if this war ends and stops, we have conditions that, if not met, we will not let go of the Americans.

The Islamic Republic changed its doctrine after the 12-day war. We changed the defensive doctrine to an offensive doctrine, of course, offensive not in the sense of aggression against others’ lands, which is what the Americans do and call it defense; that is, they invade, aggress, and occupy, but call it defense.

We have not aggressed against any country in the past 47 years, nor do we, nor will we. Iran’s offensive doctrine means that if a country attacks us, we will strike until it is destroyed and we will not let go of it. In fact, the defensive strategy will continue until it leads to victory, we reach our goals, and we punish the enemy. Today, the US army does not have the ability to stand against powerful Iran. The enemy relied on its military equipment, but it saw that this equipment cannot overcome Iran’s power. They used the most advanced equipment in the world. Actually, America has no equipment more advanced than this. If a world war were to start and America wanted to fight alone in this world war against the whole world, it would use the same equipment that it has used today against the Islamic Republic.

The Americans built 17 bases for themselves in the West Asia region, which have been destroyed by now, and they could not defend their bases and their army. Is this called victory or defeat? They had created these bases to protect “israel”, for the zionist entity to remain and also expand in the region.

We ask Muslim nations to show us their hiding centers; we will pursue them to take revenge for the Muslim nations, both revenge for our own martyrs and revenge for the damages they have caused to Iran and the region. In an interview for Al Mayadeen, Member of Iran’s Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, bluntly stated, “We feel sorry for the American people for having a President who spreads lies.”

He also accused US President Donald Trump of retreating under pressure from Gulf leaders to prevent Iran’s retaliation; countries that also fear for “attacks on their infrastructures”.

Dismissing talk of diplomacy as Trump recently claimed, Boroujerdi stressed that “there are no current negotiations with the United States,” while noting Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi’s, “ongoing coordination with friendly states, including Russia.”

He highlighted that the US-Israeli war on Iran “was imposed on us under the guise of negotiations” and cannot end through temporary arrangements, emphasizing that Iran seeks “sustainable peace and security” on its own terms.

Highlighting a shift in strategy, he said, “This is the first time we use the Strait of Hormuz in such a way, and we will not allow this game to be repeated twice,” adding that Iran is fully prepared for a prolonged war, and has “ample ammunition to sustain it.”

Denying US and “Israel’s” claims about the impact of Iranian leaders’ assassinations, Boroujerdi said that they have “miscalculated”.

“The balance of power is shifting in favor of Iran,” Boroujerdi declared.

We do not seek war and did not start it. We want it to end in a way that prevents repetition, not a ceasefire that creates a cycle of renewed conflict, but a definitive end under conditions that ensure it will not happen again and that damages to the Iranian people are compensated.

The Iranian people, armed forces, and all sectors of society have demonstrated resilience, with sacrifices made and stability maintained.

European countries are beginning to realize their mistake in not condemning the war from the outset.

The latest Iranian barrage made direct impact at the “Rotem” industrial complex adjacent to “Dimona” nuclear reactor. …

The “ICL Rotem” complex in the occupied Naqab, adjacent to the Dimona nuclear reactor, is not an ordinary industrial facility.

The complex belongs to the ICL Group, the largest chemicals company in the entity, which was owned by the “israeli” government until the 1990s. The company holds an exclusive monopoly on the rights to extract Palestinian resources from the Dead Sea until 2030—a sea whose water level is receding at an astonishing rate of 4 feet per year.

The phosphate extracted from the Rotem site is exported to several ICL facilities in the United States. Most dangerously, ICL is the sole supplier of white phosphorus to the U.S. military, internationally-banned munitions used by the occupation army in Gaza and Lebanon to burn homes, bodies, and agricultural lands.

The location of Rotem, adjacent to Dimona, is not a coincidence. The only source of uranium in occupied Palestine is the Dead Sea phosphate ICL has exclusive rights to. 

Whether for white phosphorus or uranium, the site that Iran directly hit is a critical node in the zionist-American military-industrial complex.

Thai oil tanker safely crosses Strait of Hormuz after Iran coordination

A Thai oil tanker has safely navigated the Strait of Hormuz after diplomatic coordination between Thailand and Iran, and was not required to pay to bypass the blockade, a Thai official and the vessel’s owning oil company announced today.

The tanker, owned by Bangchak Corporation, crossed the key waterway on Monday following successful discussions between Thai Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow and Iran’s ambassador to Thailand.

“I requested that if Thai ships need to pass through the strait, could they assist in ensuring safe passage?” Sihasak told reporters late on Tuesday.

“They responded that they would take care of it and asked us to provide the names of the vessels that would be transiting.”

Malaysia says its ships cleared to transit Strait of Hormuz

Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced today that he had spoken with leaders from Iran, Egypt, Turkiye, and other countries in the region, adding that Malaysian ships are now permitted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

In a televised speech, Anwar expressed gratitude to Iran’s president for allowing Malaysian vessels to transit.

“We are ⁠now in the process of releasing the Malaysian oil tankers and the workers involved so that they may continue their journey home,” he said.

Anwar noted that his discussions with Iran and other nations were part of broader efforts to help promote peace in West Asia.

“But it is not easy, as Iran feels it has been deceived repeatedly and ‌finds ⁠it difficult to accept steps toward peace without a clear and binding security guarantee for their nation,” he said.

Iranian security analyst relays US shift in tactics

An Iranian political-security source told Al Mayadeen that the overall framing of current developments, particularly Trump’s five-day deadline, amounts to a new form of deception accompanied by a shift in tactics.

According to the source, on the eighteenth day of the war, US War Secretary Pete Hegseth and Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir pushed for what was described as a “major strike” against Iran as a way out of the ongoing stalemate. Trump reportedly adopted this idea and signaled it by threatening Iran’s energy infrastructure and central power stations.

However, after receiving a firm Iranian response, warning of immediate retaliation against all energy sources in countries hosting or supporting US aggression, Trump backed down. This, the source said, heightened concerns among the far-right in “Israel”, who viewed the move as a betrayal and feared Trump might abruptly end the war while declaring a symbolic US victory.

The source added that there are indications Vice President J.D. Vance’s team and CIA Director John Ratcliffe are working to sideline Benjamin Netanyahu from Trump’s inner decision-making circle. At the same time, Secretary of State Marco Rubio is reportedly coordinating closely with Netanyahu, with both sides strongly advocating for what they call a final, decisive military strike as the only path to ending the war in victory.

From the outset, the source noted, the CIA has pushed for decisions based on realistic assessments and verified intelligence about Iran’s internal situation, rather than assumptions or wishful thinking.

The source stressed that the Islamic Republic remains determined, under all scenarios, to ensure that Washington understands this must be its last war against Iran and to prevent Trump from claiming any form of victory. Given the possibility of deception or sudden moves by adversaries, Iran is focusing on preparing for a comprehensive, large-scale confrontation while continuously studying all potential war scenarios to contain any unexpected escalation or surprise attack.

Iran calls for expulsion of US, Israel from international health bodies

Iran’s health regulator has called for the expulsion of the United States and Israel from the World Health Organization (WHO) and other major international health bodies after they attacked hospitals and care homes as part of an ongoing joint aggression against the country.

In a letter addressed to the WHO on Sunday, the Medical Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRIMC) said “brutal” and “illegal” attacks by the US and Israel on Iranian health centers, especially hospitals in the country, should be considered war crimes.

In the letter, IRIMC President Mohammad Raeiszadeh condemned a US-Israeli attack last week on Imam Ali (PBUH) Hospital in the city of Andimeshk in southwest Iran which rendered the facility out of service.  

“Beyond futile expressions of regret and condemnation, it is expected that, in fulfillment of your humanitarian and historical duties, you seriously pursue the expulsion of these two regimes from international health organizations, as well as the payment of reparations for the damages inflicted,” Raeiszadeh said.

Iran urges Russia, China to block US abuse of UN Security Council

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi urges Russia and China to prevent the United States from abusing the United Nations Security Council to commit more crimes against Iran and exacerbate tensions in the region.

In a telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Monday, Araghchi condemned the US and its allies for proposing a resolution at the UN Security Council to exert more pressure on Iran.

“It is expected that member states of the Security Council, particularly Russia and China, and other countries that attach value to the principles of the UN Charter and international law not to allow the US to abuse the Security Council to further complicate the situation simultaneous with its crimes against Iran,” he said.

He once again affirmed Iran’s determination to continue defending its national sovereignty and territorial integrity. “Any threat to attack Iran’s energy infrastructure constitutes a clear instance of war crime and genocide.”

Hezbollah resistance operations nearing 800 with no sign of slowing

According to the northern correspondent of the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Hezbollah has carried out 779 attack waves against Israel between 2 March and 21 March since reopening the battlefront.

The report notes that this is a high operational tempo that could surpass the number of attack waves recorded in October 2024, which was the most intense month of the previous confrontation.

The figures refer to the number of observed “attack waves,” not the total number of munitions launched.

Hezbollah destroys several Israeli Merkava tanks

Merkava Massacre: Hezbollah destroyed/disabled 21 Merkava tanks in southern Lebanon and northern occupied Palestine yesterday. As of this morning, they’ve achieved direct hits on at least 20, making a total of at least 73 Merkavas taken out since March 2.

￭ The “Merkava Massacre” was the name given to a similar operation in the 2006 war, when Hezbollah fighters, reportedly only three men, destroyed at least 25 Merkavas and killed 34 IOF soldiers, before the IOF was forced to retreat.

￭ The guided missiles the resistance deploys cost tens of thousands of dollars, a mere fraction of the cost of the Merkava tanks they destroy, which take up to $6 million and 2 years to produce.

￭ Behind every resistance missile is a vast industrial infrastructure, laborers in defense labs and factories thousands of kilometers away manufacturing materials transported across the world’s most heavily surveilled and repressed smuggling route. 

‘Israel’s new border must be the Litani’: Israeli minister demands annexation of south Lebanon

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said on 23 March that Israel should annex large swathes of southern Lebanon, extending its border to the Litani River, as Israeli forces bombed bridges and destroyed homes in an ongoing military campaign.

Smotrich told an Israeli radio program that the military campaign in Lebanon “needs to end with a different reality entirely, both with the Hezbollah decision but also with the change of Israel’s borders.”

“I say here definitively … in every room and in every discussion, too: the new Israeli border must be the Litani,” Smotrich said.

Israel expanded its bombing campaign and invasion of Lebanon on 2 March, days after launching a war against Iran alongside the US.

Since then, Israel has demanded that all residents leave the territory south of the Litani River, while carrying out airstrikes and ground attacks that have killed more than 1,000 people and displaced hundreds of thousands.

It is no longer hidden from anyone that there is a dangerous American-“israeli” project known as “Greater “israel”,” which is based on occupation and expansion from the Euphrates to the Nile, including Lebanon. The “israeli”-American aggression against Lebanon did not cease on 27/11/2024, and the “israeli” enemy did not adhere to the agreement, but rather continued its aggression continuously over the course of fifteen months.

It has become clear that we are facing two choices: either surrender and abandon our land, dignity, sovereignty, and the future of our generations, or engage in inevitable confrontation and resistance against the occupation to prevent it from achieving its goals. The timing chosen by the resistance to respond to the aggression and defend Lebanon deprived the “israeli” enemy of the opportunity to surprise us, prevented it from isolating Lebanon, and debunked all claims of pretexts, because the rocket barrage does not warrant war, and indeed, pretexts have no meaning with the continuation of aggression for fifteen months.

The resistance has prepared appropriately and has proven its effectiveness and capability, and the sacrificing young fighters have presented the most wonderful epics of heroism, honor, patriotism, and dignity. They are determined to continue without limits, and are prepared to sacrifice without boundaries; they are now the shining symbol of patriotism and the light of the coming liberation.

As for the people of the resistance, they are the most honorable and noble on the face of the earth. They were displaced as a contribution to the jihad, bore the burden as sacrificers and resistance fighters, offered the fruits of their loins with pride and contentment, and suffered away from their homes and normal lives the greatest of suffering to create a free and honorable future for their homeland and their children.

The aggression is the problem and the danger, and the resistance is the hope and the liberation.

The responsibility of confronting the aggression is a national responsibility for everyone: government, people, army, forces, sects, parties, and every citizen. The “israeli”-American aggression wants to strip Lebanon of its power and control its policies and the future of its children. It wants to rob Lebanon of its sovereignty and independence with its demands to incite sedition and internal fighting, legitimize the “israeli” occupation, and prevent the army from arming itself and defending the homeland… and the response is a national responsibility.

When the exclusivity of arms is proposed to meet an “israeli” demand while the occupation and aggression continue, it is a step on the path to the demise of Lebanon and the realization of the dream of “Greater “israel”.” And when negotiation with the “israeli” enemy is proposed under fire, it is an imposition of surrender and the robbery of all of Lebanon’s capabilities, not to mention that negotiation is fundamentally rejected with an enemy that occupies land and attacks daily.

There is no war for others on the land of Lebanon, but rather a war of “israel” and America on Lebanon, in contrast to the defense by the resistance, the people, the army, the honorable, the patriots, and the forces that believe in the independence and liberation of Lebanon.

We are in a defensive battle for Lebanon and its citizens, and those who are martyred are among the elite men, youth, women, and children of our homeland, and what we are liberating is the land of our homeland, Lebanon.

We call for national unity against the “israeli”-American enemy, under one title in this phase: stopping the aggression to liberate the land and the people. All other titles are open for discussion afterwards.

National unity makes our enemy despair of occupying our country.

National unity enables us to traverse this painful phase through solidarity and mutual support, which helps us build our country together.

National unity means that the government should not make decisions that serve the “israeli” project—even if it did not intend to—because the result is in “israel’s” interest.

National unity means that the government should retract its decision to criminalize resistance work and the resistance fighters.

We call for national unity for the sake of us all. Together we become stronger, and together we shorten the time of aggression.

Look at the “israeli”-American aggression on Lebanon; it kills civilians, destroys buildings, displaces villages and towns, and works to annihilate crops and progeny, yet it is cowardly in confronting the brave resistance fighters.

This resistance will not be defeated, and with it stand its people, the citizens, and the honorable in our country. We are reassured and confident that we will not be defeated, no matter how great the sacrifices.

As for what is happening in the Islamic Republic of Iran’s confrontation with the global American-“israeli” aggression, it is a lesson to be learned. Iran has stood firm in the face of the tyrants of the earth, its criminals, and its savages, and it will be victorious, if Allah wills. And know that every victory in the face of America and “israel” brings good that spreads to everyone.

Hezbollah statement on Lebanese Foreign Ministry’s decision to expel the Iranian ambassador

Hezbollah condemns and rejects, in the strongest terms, the decision issued by the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is devoid of any legal justification, to withdraw the approval for the accreditation of the Iranian ambassador appointed to Lebanon, Mohammad Reza Sheibani, declaring him “persona non grata,” and demanding his departure from Lebanese territory. This is a reckless and condemned step that does not serve Lebanon’s supreme national interests, nor its sovereignty or national unity, but rather constitutes a coup against them, a clear submission to foreign pressures and dictates, and a blatant encroachment on the powers of the President of the Republic. The flimsy pretexts upon which this arbitrary decision was based, accusing the ambassador of interfering in the internal affairs of Lebanon, are but further confirmation that it is a malicious political decision par excellence, lacking the minimum of wisdom and national responsibility.

This suspicious measure, which comes at a highly dangerous time, requires Lebanon, to confront it, the solidarity of all its people across their various political, partisan, cultural, and social components, and a unified official stance to strengthen elements of immunity with the aim of imposing a ceasefire on the “israeli” enemy and forcing it to withdraw from the lands it occupies. The Foreign Minister chooses to align with the position that serves only the zionist enemy with his words and actions, and works, knowingly or unknowingly, and stemming from a narrow and spiteful partisan mentality, to weaken the Lebanese state and strip it of the elements of cohesion it needs in this delicate and sensitive phase. He pushes towards making more concessions to serve the enemy, with the aim of paving the way to place all of Lebanon under American-“israeli” tutelage.

What increases the danger and crudeness of this decision is that it comes from the same minister who practices absolute silence regarding the blatant American interventions in Lebanon and regarding the statements of its officials and envoys that insulted Lebanon and incited against it and against a fundamental component within it. However, in contrast, he flexes his muscles before the friendly state that never skimped on supporting and assisting Lebanon, which stood by its people in the darkest circumstances, and contributed to strengthening its ability to protect its land and people, without ever interfering in its internal affairs or violating its sovereignty, but rather maintained good and strong relations with Lebanon.

Hezbollah considers this decision a major national and strategic sin that does not serve national unity, but rather opens the doors to internal division, deepens the national rift, and pushes the country into a highly dangerous path of subservience, weakness, and exposure. Hezbollah calls upon the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister to demand that the Foreign Minister, who now lacks national competence as a result of prioritizing partisan interests over the interest of Lebanon, its security, and its stability, immediately reverse this decision due to its dangerous repercussions. The minister and his party must act with wisdom and deliberation, realize the dangers surrounding Lebanon, and realize that protecting Lebanon’s sovereignty is not achieved by submitting to foreign dictates, nor by antagonizing a fundamental component of the homeland or antagonizing the countries that supported Lebanon and stood by its side, but rather through national solidarity and by confronting the only true enemy of this country, which is the zionist enemy.

Amal Movement urges reversal of decision to expel Iranian ambassador

The Amal Movement called on Lebanese authorities to reverse a decision to expel the ambassador of Iran, warning that this step could trigger a political and national crisis.

In a statement, the movement said officials should instead have declared a state of diplomatic emergency at the international level to confront what it described as Israeli escalation. It pointed to statements by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz about the destruction of bridges along the Litani River and alleged plans to establish a buffer zone extending into South Lebanon.

Amal criticized what it called a “suspicious” and ill-timed move by Lebanese officials, accusing them of targeting a “diplomatic bridge” by giving the Iranian ambassador a deadline to leave, while failing to condemn ongoing Israeli attacks and displacement inside Lebanon.

Amal urged authorities to immediately reconsider the decision to avoid a broader political crisis, stressing the importance of national unity in managing the ongoing conflict.

Over One Million Displaced by Israel’s Assault and Forced Displacement Threats in Lebanon

More than one million people have been displaced in Lebanon by Israel’s assault and forced displacement threats, according to the United Nations, as Israeli forces deploy additional troops to the south amid intense bombardment and plans to expand the invasion. Israeli attacks have also killed at least 1,116 people.

The Israeli military has issued expanded leave-or-die threats for Lebanese residents, mandating that all individuals south of the Zahrani River flee north immediately. An Israeli spokesperson warned that those who fail to comply “may endanger their lives due to Israeli military activity.”

The forced displacement threat now extends from the Litani River to areas beyond the Zahrani River, approximately 40 kilometres (25 miles) north of the Israeli border. According to the Norwegian Refugee Council, these orders cover more than 1,470 square kilometres (568sq miles) – about 14 percent of Lebanon’s territory – and affect more than 100 towns and villages.

US and Gulf Allies Fuel Lebanon’s Internal Strife

US-backed Lebanese groups, led by the Lebanese Forces, have launched a campaign aiming at deepening internal divisions in Lebanon. Their move follows pressure from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and US Senator Lindsey Graham, after attempts to involve Syria’s new leadership against Hezbollah failed.

The campaign claims that Hezbollah lost its top leadership in the 2024 war and that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps now controls Lebanon’s affairs. Lebanese state officials, including President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, have echoed these concerns, with Salam publicly blaming Iran for triggering the current war.

Under the guidance of the US embassy in Beirut, municipal bodies and security agencies submit daily intelligence reports on the displaced persons, as well as housing and shelter records. Some of this information was used for targeted assassinations.

The Lebanese Forces and Kataeb Party, along with “reformist” MPs, have taken a more confrontational stance. Kataeb are now pushing for the release of Syrians implicated in killing Lebanese soldiers. MP Mark Daou, linked to the US-funded group Dawruna “Our Turn”, says that a military clash between the Lebanese army and Hezbollah is inevitable and “less costly” than war with the Israeli occupation.

Oxfam warns Israel using “Gaza playbook” in Lebanon

White phosphorus strikes by Israel devastate southern Lebanon, forcing mass displacement

Human Rights Watch and independent researchers have documented the use of white phosphorus by Israeli forces over agricultural and residential areas in southern Lebanon, confirming the chemical weapon’s deployment during the early days of the recent Israeli assault on Lebanon. Satellite imagery and photos verified that M825 155mm shells released white phosphorus over residential areas in south Lebanon, forcibly displacing roughly 800,000 people.

Experts warn that Israel may be using white phosphorus to create a scorched-earth “buffer zone” along the border, clearing fields and forests to expose Hezbollah fighters. According to a report from Al Mayadeen, between October 2023 and November 2024, nearly 250 instances were recorded, with 39 percent striking residential areas, 17 percent agricultural lands, and 44 percent forests or open terrain. The strikes produced intense fires, thick smoke, and chemical contamination, endangering anyone returning to the region.

Environmental and agricultural damage is severe. More than 2,000 hectares of southern Lebanese countryside were burned, including nearly 900 hectares of dense forest. Phosphorus contamination in soil, combined with heavy metals, threatens crop fertility, reduces microbial diversity, and leaves the land hazardous for farmers and residents long after the attacks.

Iraq vows retaliation after deadly US strikes on Popular Mobilization Units

The Iraqi armed forces have announced that they would respond to recent airstrikes carried out by US aircraft and drones targeting the anti-terror resistance Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), citing the principle of self-defense.

The strikes, which hit the PMU early Tuesday, claimed the lives of at least 15 fighters, including Dr. Saad Daway, commander of operations in the western Iraqi province of al-Anbar.

Another strike later struck the PMU headquarters in Nineveh Province in north-western Iraq, which also served as the residence of its leader, Falih Al Fayyadh.

Iraqi Hezbollah battalions deny claims of embassy attacks

Iraqi Hezbollah Battalions (Kataib Hezbollah) announced in a statement on Tuesday night: Our mujahids have not attacked diplomatic delegations since 2003.

This group further emphasized: targeting the embassies [by us] is not true and what was done was the attack on al-Tawheed camp in response to American attacks on residential areas.

Kataeb Hezbollah of Iraq also announced: the operation that targeted the Iraqi intelligence apparatus was carried out by one of the officers of the same apparatus with the aim of distorting the face of the resistance.

Iraqi oil exports drop by 80 percent amid US-Israeli war on Iran: Report

Iraqi oil production has now fallen by 80 percent, as Baghdad is unable ​to export crude via the Strait of Hormuz and its storage capacity has nearly run out, three Iraqi energy officials told Reuters on 26 March.

Output from Iraq’s main state-run southern oilfields has further fallen to around 800,000 barrels per day (bpd), the officials stated, while production from the ​fields stood at around 4.3 million bpd before the war.

Iraq has had no choice but to slash production amid the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the strategic waterway through which 90 percent of Baghdad’s oil exports flow, since the start of the US-Israel war on Iran a month ago.

In Al-Khalil, the IOF raided the Al-Fawwar refugee camp, resulting in several arrests, including a teacher. Additional incursions were reported in Beit Ummar and Halhul, where soldiers conducted home raids.

The world’s preoccupation with the war in the region does not, in any way, justify the fascist occupation state obstructing the decisions of the ceasefire agreement, which was guaranteed by the parties to the “Sharm El-Sheikh Declaration,” and obstructing the implementation of Resolution 2803 issued by the Security Council.

The crossings into the Gaza Strip remain nearly closed, and the Gaza Strip continues to suffer from a scarcity of food, fuel, and medicine, alongside an urgent need for shelters to protect displaced families from rain, cold, and floods.

The Rafah crossing continues to be a station for abusing Palestinian travelers, in a blatant violation of what was agreed upon regarding freedom of movement in both directions, without interference from the occupation forces.

Furthermore, the gravity of the acts of killing, demolition, and destruction that have not stopped for a single day since the announcement of the ceasefire on 09/10/2025 must be highlighted, as the number of martyrs and wounded victims of the “israeli” aggression—which has no goal other than inflicting harm and disasters on our people and disrupting the ceasefire agreements—continues to rise.

The Jordanian regime’s ongoing campaign of arrests and repression since October 7, 2023 reflects the broader role Arab regimes, as products of colonial rule, continue to play in the US-Israeli war on the region: guarding the Zionist order and protecting US interests.

Although no updated comprehensive figures have been published since Amnesty International’s April 2024 report, which documented at least 1,500 arrests, including around 500 people detained after the March 2024 protests outside the Israeli embassy, the campaign has only intensified.

This month alone, several names have been added to the ever-expanding list of detained activists. Among them is Ahmad Abu Aleem, a social media activist who expressed support for Iran in this war and called for resisting the occupation and rejecting the sectarian discourse on Iran.

The crackdown extended to members of the Jordanian Communist Party, including Dr. Omar Awad and media figure Osama Abu Zein El-Din, both members of the party’s political bureau, in addition to Bahaa El-Din Alian, a student and member of the party’s youth organization.

These arrests came directly after the Party condemned the Zionist-American aggression against Iran and declared support for resisting it. Trump’s approval ratings hit new low as Iran war fallout reaches home

US President Donald Trump’s approval rating has dropped to its lowest level since his return to office, amid rising fuel prices and growing opposition to the US-led war on Iran, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on 24 March.

The four-day survey shows approval falling to 36 percent, down from 40 percent just a week earlier. …

… Public support for the war dropped even below what were already low levels at the start, with the poll showing that 35 percent of Americans approve of US strikes on Iran, down from 37 percent the previous week, while 61 percent disapprove.

Nearly half of all respondents believe the war will make the US less safe in the long term, compared to just 26 percent who say it will improve security.
